About the Book
Yoga Asana Anatomy is a unique guide that brings together the worlds of anatomy and yoga in a clear and practical way. It is intended for yoga teachers, students, and practitioners who wish to better understand what happens in the body during asana practice.
The book explores the structure of bones, joints, muscles, and connective tissues, explaining their role in yoga practice. Special attention is given to movement, alignment, and the actions of muscle groups in different asanas. Numerous illustrations, photographs, and practical examples help readers apply anatomical knowledge directly to their practice.
Written in an accessible style, the book is suitable both for readers without a medical background and for experienced yoga teachers. Its particular value lies in its connection to Iyengar Yoga, where precision, awareness, and a deep understanding of the body form the foundation of practice.
