Yoga mat Pro Manduka 6mm (180cm) Earth
The Manduka PRO™ yoga mat has been a symbol of quality, durability, and uncompromising support during practice for many years. Designed for demanding yogis and teachers, this high-performance and spacious mat (6 mm thick and 180 cm long) offers exceptional comfort and optimal joint protection – even during intense or long-lasting sessions.
One of the key features of the Manduka PRO™ mat is its closed-cell surface, which does not absorb moisture, sweat, or bacteria. This not only ensures better hygiene, but also makes the mat extremely easy to clean, significantly extending its lifespan. For this reason, many teachers and advanced practitioners choose it as their go-to mat – even for daily use.
The surface provides a medium grip that improves with use, meaning the mat gradually "breaks in" and adapts to the user. With regular practice, the grip gets better, while still maintaining a smooth texture that allows for fluid transitions between poses without sticking.
The mat is also eco-friendly – manufactured through environmentally safe processes with no toxic emissions, reflecting Manduka's commitment to sustainability and quality. In addition, it is made in Germany, with verified quality and a long-term warranty.
Difference between Manduka PRO™ and Manduka PROlite™
Although both mats come from the same premium line, there are some key differences:
- The Manduka PRO™ is thicker (6 mm) and heavier, offering more cushioning and stability, making it ideal for home practice or studio use.
- The Manduka PROlite™ is thinner (4.7 mm) and lighter, making it a great choice for those who travel frequently or carry their mat to class.
Both mats offer the same construction, closed-cell surface, and long lifespan – the choice between them mainly depends on whether you prioritize portability or cushioning.

First use:
- Remove the protective layer: For the first use, it is recommended to remove the protective layer that may be present on the surface of the mat. You can do this by gently cleaning it with warm water and a mild detergent to remove any residues left over from manufacturing.
- First cleaning: Before the first use, gently wipe the mat with a cloth soaked in warm water to remove any dirt or dust that may have accumulated during transport. Use mild soap (without aggressive chemicals) to ensure proper care of the surface.
- Drying: After cleaning, allow the mat to air dry, but do not place it under direct sunlight, as this could damage the material. Let it dry at room temperature.
After practice:
- Clean the mat after practice: After every session, wipe the mat with a clean, damp cloth to remove sweat, dirt, or other impurities. You can use a mixture of water and a few drops of mild cleaning solutions or special yoga mat cleaners. Avoid using harsh chemicals or alcohol, as they may damage the material.
- Air out the mat: After every practice, allow the mat to air out to avoid the accumulation of odors and moisture. Ideally, place it for a few minutes in an open space to dry before storing it.
- Complete drying: If the mat is very wet, lay it flat on a surface and let it dry completely at room temperature. Do not dry it under direct sunlight or near a heat source (e.g., radiator), as this could damage the material.
- Regular cleaning: For deep cleaning, we recommend periodically (depending on usage frequency) thoroughly cleaning the mat. Use a soft cloth or sponge with water and mild soap to remove impurities, and allow it to dry completely before storing.
Maintenance tips:
- Regular use: With regular use, the grip on the mat’s surface improves, as the material adapts to your needs. However, always clean the mat after each session to maintain hygiene and durability.
- Do not store in damp places: If you are not using the mat, store it in a dry place, away from high humidity or direct sunlight, to prevent damage to the material.
- Easy transport: For easy transportation, use a bag or strap designed specifically for Manduka mats to protect it from damage while carrying it.
IMPORTANT:
- Do not use heavy chemicals for cleaning, as they may damage the mat.
- Avoid using aggressive or abrasive materials (e.g., hard brushes), as they may damage the surface of the mat.
- For long-lasting durability, regularly clean your Manduka PRO™ or PROlite™ mat and store it in a suitable place.
