Care Instructions for Cotton Blanket:
- Machine wash at temperatures up to 30°C.
- Wash with similar colors to avoid color stains.
- Do not use bleach, as it can damage the fibers and colors.
- Do not tumble dry, as it can damage the blanket and reduce its lifespan.
- Washing at low temperatures helps keep the cotton fibers soft and long-lasting.
Characteristics of Organic Cotton:
A typical characteristic of organic cotton is small remnants of the seed pods. Since the cotton is not treated with chemical defoliants before harvesting, but is usually hand-picked and cleaned with natural detergents, these remnants remain in the fabric. These pod remnants, often brown to black in color, can cause the fabric to develop a greenish-brown discoloration during washing. Adding a small amount of stain salt during the washing process can help reduce this effect.
