Millet porridge with seeds and pear
This warm breakfast is excellent for digestion and preparing the body for spring cleansing. It warms the body on chilly mornings and provides essential nutrients for the day.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons millet
- 2 pinches of salt
- 1 tablespoon flaxseeds
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (black or white)
- 2–3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- A handful of dried cranberries, goji berries, hemp seeds
- 1 pear
- Almond butter (optional)
Instructions:
- Add the millet to water, and once it starts boiling, add the seeds.
- Cook until a gelatinous mixture forms.
- Once the millet is cooked, drain it and transfer it to a bowl.
- Drizzle with maple syrup or honey, sprinkle with cinnamon, and mix well.
- Top with dried cranberries, goji berries, hemp seeds and sliced pear. If desired, add some extra maple syrup and a spoonful of almond butter.
