A useful tip: When first out of the packaging, the mat has a rubber smell that will dissipate with time and increased air exposure. Before initial use, we recommend leaving your mat to air out overnight. Wash your hands with soap and water before use to remove any natural oils or lotion from your hands as these substances make a mat slippery. To make your GECO mat last longer, practice on both sides alternately.
To store: To store, always roll your mat with the top surface with the logo facing outwards. The rolled mat should be stored away from direct sunlight, e.g. in a yoga mat bag. Minimizing sunlight exposure will extend the life of your mat.
To clean: Simply wipe the surface with a wet cloth to clean the mat quickly. Leave the unrolled mat on the floor to dry. Use gentle organic washing-up liquid or soap from time to time (no solvents, no harsh abrasives). You can also thoroughly rinse the surface in a bathtub or shower without soaking the mat in water.
